So Rec-League is opening for Wu-Tang Clan on Dec 27th… at Ruby Skye in SF, info HERE. So do yourself a favor and buy a late Holiday gift for yourself and go see Wu and the Rec….. We’d appreciate is.
So, new comic day has come and gone. What did I actually end up buying this week? Not much.
The Chemist, the only book on my actual pull list this week, didn’t even ship…thanks a lot, Image. I did buy Captain Marvel #1, although I ended up pulling a first printing out of the bins rather than getting the brand-new second printing. I like character relaunches in a general sort of way, provided that they don’t suck. One issue isn’t enough to judge by, so we’ll see how this one goes, but I enjoyed the first installment…I just tried not to think too much about the whole continuity dance they’re doing. Captain Marvel’s reappearance during the events of Civil War still doesn’t make much sense to me, but I’m willing to see where it’s headed.

Shalom. Grip Grand here. You may not know me, but I swear, I’m in Rec-League. I’m totally on so many songs with those guys. Anyway, in an effort to prove that the Rec isn’t as cool as they claim, and in order to establish my nerd majesty at the same time, my first post to this here Rec-League site (I love the name, “Routine Fly”, by the way…sports references are so masculine) will be dedicated to my weekly comic book pull list. If you don’t know what a pull list is, you are not hip-hop, son. Wait, I mean, you are not a giant dork, son. But I am. And that’s why I have a pull list, which is a list of all the comics my local shop will pull and set aside for me to buy on my weekly visit. So here it is. Oh, and if you think I should be writing about rap or some shit like that, I don’t even know what that is anymore. I only listen to music made on, for, or by cell phones.
