Back To The Future.
These days Hip Hop seems to be divided into many different groups, the biggest two being the golden era boom bapper’s who are scared to like anything that might make them look like a pussy, and the “progressive” crowd who never listened Boot Camp Clik and will argue that Lil Wayne isn’t dope. What group do I associate with you ask? Its simple, if you watch this video and don’t think it’s fucking awesome then I hate you and your family, that’s what group I’m in. If you don’t enjoy this video, first realize that you are a major dickweed, then secondly ask yourself why. Is it too “no homo”? Did he “sell out”? Is it too “mainstream”? Does it not make you look like a “tough guy”? Is it not gloomy and vulnerable sounding enough? Is this a ridiculous and redundant rant? Yes, most likely. Short story even longer, this video is so in the future that it’s 20 years in the past. Snoop is such a boss that he can be a pimp/active gang member/murderer and still pull this off. I don’t know about you, but I love it.
High Five.

i like snoop. that video is funny. the whole song is funny, it’s just joke rap, which is great. he “snoops it up”…
that group of people you are referring to the…
“Is it too “no homo”? Did he “sell out”? Is it too “mainstream”? Does it not make you look like a “tough guy”? Is it not gloomy and vulnerable sounding enough?”
… do you know anyone who feels this way? have you ever heard someone call snoop a “sell out”. i feel like i haven’t heard the whole “keep it real” diatribe in years. I think rap has gone completely to the other side(maybe too far) where everyone copies each other and sounds the same… i think everything has flipped.

I think there’s still haters out there. there’s still plenty of “underground til i die/never sell out” rappers who think Jay-Z is trash and only bump underground from the Ukraine. We’re just not them ya dig?

it’s to the point where Snoop gets to do what Snoop wants, and it’s genius.
Critics will argue that No Limit Topp Dogg is the west coast Illmatic. It’s true.

Video is genius. Song is hilarious, but also a bit embarrassing. Call me crazy but I do think it is okay for me to be upset that a man who’s name is on the cover of one of the iconic rap albums of my lifetime has reached the point where he can not be taken seriously even by himself. To me this song is half Richard Pryror making Bustin’ Loose and half Martin Lawrence putting on a dress, feel me?

Snoop can do whatever he wants… this video is far more serious than say……. Soul Plane? i also feel like with the video he’s taking a stab at the Roger thing and really doing a more genuine tribute than just being a dipshit who can’t sing like T-Pain. it’s not like snoop has ever taken himself that seriously… even doggystyle had funny skits and ridiculous stuff on it. he’s always had a sense of humor. this is fucking awesome end of story.

Yeah i’ve had a quite a few arguements with both groups.
