I wish they would make a movie of Martins reaction to the script for “Black Knight”…was he pumped on the idea?…I really want to know.

You’re right, he totally did blow it…but that was just his nice-guy training going into overdrive. That shit only pays off later in life, when the ladies are more mature. I’d like to see the sequel, “A Duck in Winter”, where Duckie hooks up with Annie Potts’ character. Kind of like 40-Year Old Virgin but with less swearing, and a lot more Jon Cryer. And Creepers.

Anyway, I guess Duckie blowing it is what I always related to. Obviously I was a pretty “cool” kid.

Duckie encourages Molly Ringwald to go get and forgive Andrew McCarthy at the prom… he totally bitched out. That was his swoop moment, and he blew it. I was with him the whole way, and actually thought he was going to get her in the end, but alas, the richie wins again.
