Well, well, back again with more comicky books. I think I missed a week or something…probably because I had a crazy fever for 7 days. It was the best. Anyway, I didn’t have too many funny folios to tide me over during my illness, since the last couple weeks netted me approximately (who has time to really add them all up?) four single issues. It has begun: the two incredible/agonizingly long months that is the NBA Playoffs. While most of you are still crying like little girls about the Warriors not making it, or that if Golden State were in the East they’d be the 5 seed, and blah, blah, blah, my beloved Los Angeles Lakers found themselves in the number 1 spot in the unbelievably deep and talented Western Conference, thus solidifying Kobe Bean Bryant as the front-runner in the MVP race. Everything is Great with me.

Well, today’s tax day. I hope you folks got your forms filed on time, and that you declared all the income you made rocking the mic and selling hand-labeled cassettes on Telegraph. Hopefully you have a few bucks left over to blow on some funny books. Although my last day at the comic shop has come and gone, the boss has graciously decided to let me use my employee discount for the foreseeable future, and I couldn’t be happier. What a great shop. If you’re in the Huntington Beach area, why not stop on in to Comics Unlimited at 16344 Beach Boulevard? You’ll be glad you did. Old School No Limit? the TRU double disk? No one giving a shit that Silk Da Shocker never rapped on beat ever? That Mercedez album cover? the “Bout it Bout it” Movie. Fuck I miss being a deliquent teenager. The days of ironing my Dickies with a cuff and a crease, actually having to find the piece of paper the girl gave you with her phone number on it, pulling a “runner” from the liquor store, house parties, brawls with other crews, the fucking good ol’ days. Atleast thats what crossed my mind when hearing this delightful ditty again after all these years. I’m on a mission to put together the best No Limit mix of all time, any help is much appreciated.

Yeah, I’m late again. What are we ever to do? Since I write this particular blog mostly for my own amusement, I’ve decided to go easy on me. “You’ve had a tough time of it lately, old chum,” I’ll say to myself. “Just don’t let it happen again.” And then I’ll probably mouth off right back with some snappy retort, like “Who do you think you are, old man? You can’t tell me what to do! You’re not the boss of me!” Yeah, that sounds about right. So just picture all that happening, and then we can move right along to the funny books. Zooooom!!!
