Yo, Sha. I been kicking it with a cat in a local rock band here, and he said he wants me to check out a little album he really LOVES by a group called Dorian Three. Small world, huh?

you are in san diego right? we (Dorian Three) did a couple shows in Newport beach many years ago. Adeem and I opened for the living legends one time down there. Adverse and I have done a few shows in San Diego. We sold a shit load of Dorian Three cds through Access Music (when i say a “shit load” i mean maybe 200, this was back when people bought cds). So he probably got the cd from one of those places.
Play him 96 tears and tell him “This is Dorian Four 2008 style bitch!”… or just thank him for me.
Our first album was a joke. We didn’t know what the hell we were doing, we just recorded some shit on a fucked up ADAT over a week while Adverse was in town to sell it at Scribble Jam 1999. We sold 2000 Dorian Three cds (our second album “Down World, Up Songs) by doing NOTHING… we did maybe 20 shows total EVER as the Dorian Three… a few in cali, one self-booked tour from canada to florida, and one show in Hawaii… nothing like flushing a career down the toilet by doing nothing to capitalize on momentum. ahhh underground.
It’s like pulling teeth to get Adeem or Adverse to write a song, and forget trying to get them together to do it. We end up laughing, playing Halo or going to the movies or some dumb shit.
I have some GREAT memories of recording those two albums and the small touring we did do though.
both those guys are tremendously talented.
I love Dorian Three. “Dirty Work” is my jam.
There i have rambled down memory lane. Thank you.

Well, I wish I was in the cultural hotbed that is San Diego…unfortunately, I am a few hours north, in Huntington Beach, aka Surf City, USA. I’m not sure they even have rap here. And yet word of your early efforts has gotten around all the same. Maybe you guys should get back together, you know…for the fans. If either of your partners refuse, I will volunteer to play their role. I am also a white rapper, so it works out great.
