Grip’s Pull List for 11-12-08
OK, so I bagged it last week. But there wasn’t what I would describe as a flood of complaints when I didn’t get the old pull list done before Wednesday. Or after. Anyway, to make up for it, I decided to NOT bag this week’s list. I know that doesn’t really make up for it at all, in any way. But I’ve also included the above video, which will take up at LEAST as much of your life as reading last week’s list would have. So watch that. Or don’t. What-fuckin’-ever. And now, on to the comics.
Action Comics #871: So, I started reading the New Krypton storyline that runs through the recent Superman books, and I enjoyed myself. I’ve been meaning to get back into the ol’ DC Universe, and between this and the upcoming Red Lantern saga in the GL titles, now I’ll be doing just that. Hope it turns out well.
Cacophony #1: Kevin Smith returns to comics with Cacophony, a title that promises to unite the caped crusader with a villain Smith created during his run on Green Arrow. I am a Kevin Smith fan/apologist, so I’ll be there for this one. Hopefully he won’t just quit writing it halfway through the arc, as I hear he’s done in the past. C’mon, Kev, were rooting for you. Show us what you got.
Dark Tower–Treachery #3: Another issue of Stephen King’s post-apocalyptic western. Good story. Me like. I buy.
The Stand–Captain Trips #3: More Stephen King. This one is about killer snot, among other things. Good times.
Wolverine #69: Sixty-nine! Anyway, it’s been a while since we got an issue of the Old Man Wolverine saga. I’m looking forward to reading this one.
Alright, chum…p. I’m out. Take your sack of funny books and go cry in a corner. Until next week….
Bagged and boarded,
Grip
