Grip’s Pull List For 11-26-08
Comics, comics, comics. Will Thanksgiving delay this week’s batch for some obscure reason related to the UPS Holiday shipping schedules? You won’t find out here! But you will find out what comics I’m gonna pony up for when release day does rear its ugly little head. So let’s move right along with that, shall we? Excellent.
Captain America #44: More Bucky business. I mean, this book is still great, and there are a lot of loose threads after the last arc tied up. Can a title maintain its momentum this many months after killing off its main character? The answer so far has been yes, but I feel my patience thinning. Awaiting jaw drop.
Superman #682: This is New Krypton Part 6, and it’s a pleasure to be getting it in an actual Superman book this week. Buying issues of Supergirl to follow some random story through the DC universe doesn’t always sit well with me. But while this event has been uneven so far, I do like the overall shape of things. Let’s hope they tighten up and pull this one off.
Well, that’s it. Which is fine, ‘cuz I got mashed potatoes to make. Turkey day, don’t you know.
Until next time…
Happy Thanksgiving and/or Indigenous Peoples Day!!!
Bagged and boarded,
Grip
