Everything is Great w/ J.T. – Playoffs!

It’s that time again! Two whole months of playoff basketball… and honestly, I’m not really that excited.

It’s cliched to say that Tarantino made you want to be a filmmaker… but I don’t care. I blackmailed my 8th grade basketball coach to take us to see Pulp Fiction when I was 13. It changed my life… watch this:
This has been out for a while but goddamnit if I don’t knock it all the time. My most anticipated album of 2009 (sorry Dre and… ehhh… Em). I think Q’m (and hopefully others) will agree with me that Busta Rhymes can do no wrong… this song is so hot, and easily the best hip-hop dance ever… peep the crowd doing it at the very end of the video… I LOVE THIS!!!

1. Lil’ Wayne – The Drought is Over Pt. 6

2. GZA/Genius – Pro Tools

3. Raphael Saadiq – The Way I See It

4. Snoop Dogg - Ego Trippin

5. Randy Newman – Harps & Angels

6. Devin The Dude – Landing Gear
Anyone else?

Time for the roundup of the top 12 movies of the year. Take that top 10 lists!!! You bunch of fucking slackers! I spent a lot of time at the theater this year, and I remember most of it… well, some of it anyway. With a little help from good ol’ Jameson and friends, it was a damn good year for movies… here ya go…

I’ve been to the movies five times in the last two weeks. Apparently I don’t like the outdoors. Check out what I’m wasting my life doing!!!
I DVR this guy every night… other than Dave, this is easily my favorite late night show. I’m not trying to get all political, but this came out of nowhere the other night. Obama had just been on Letterman and Craig, who just got his citizenship this year (this will be the first election he’s eligible to vote), goes after cable news talking heads and the candidates themselves… watch the whole thing, super tight. Sorry, no booze in this one.
Lakers are shitting the bed.
BUT Lil’ Wayne released the next four months of my life… I still like Snoop’s album better… who’s with me?
PS: i’m drunk… more detailed later.

It has begun: the two incredible/agonizingly long months that is the NBA Playoffs. While most of you are still crying like little girls about the Warriors not making it, or that if Golden State were in the East they’d be the 5 seed, and blah, blah, blah, my beloved Los Angeles Lakers found themselves in the number 1 spot in the unbelievably deep and talented Western Conference, thus solidifying Kobe Bean Bryant as the front-runner in the MVP race. Everything is Great with me.
This is gonna be a long one… I had the flu this week.
